Soups On!

Soup’s On!
Rules to follow when picking out a soup; cut the salt, keep the flavor, and load up on the good stuff (beans, lentils, and vegetables).
The following are some of the best on the market. They have no more than 350 milligrams of sodium per cup (per multi-serve cans, jars, etc.) or per container (for individual bowls, pouches, etc.) and contain no more than 21/2 grams of saturated fat.
Trader Joe’s Low Sodium Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper
Plantstrong Kitchari Indian Lentil Stew
Plantstrong Thai Carrot Chickpea Stew
Imagine Light in Sodium
Dr. McDougall’s Lower Sodium
Amy’s Light in Sodium–except Cream of Tomato
Pacific Light in Sodium
Of course, you can make your own too! Check out my recipe post from February 13 for ideas.
