Certified Integrated Movement Specialist, Balanced Body University- CIMS certification dives deep into the relationship between Anatomy and Movement — understanding how the body works, how it works in motion, and the role of foundational movement in physical fitness. Those who attain Integrated Movement Specialist certification are recognized as experts in movement performance and have learned the skills to customize programming to meet individual goals.
In addition to her love of teaching Jennipher enjoys fueling her family with healthy food, from organic gardening to healthy eats at the dinner table. She is a lifelong competitive swimmer and shares the love of the sport with her 3 boys who range from an age group swimmer to a collegiate swimmer. It brings her great joy to nurture and guide her family in making healthy choices for meals and movement which will transpire into a long healthy life.
Jennipher began her health and fitness journey at Mississippi State University obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in the College of Agriculture and Home Economics. Then completing the requirements in the School of Human Sciences for the Dietetic Internship and Graduate Studies Program at MSU in 1997. Upon successful completion of boards, set out to start a career as a Registered Dietitian. Her clinical practice started at Baptist Hospital on the Skilled Nursing Unit in her native home town of Pensacola, Florida. Craving a little more challenge and hands-on care she began training to become a Nutrition Support Dietitian. Once Board Certified by the American Society of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition, Jennipher joined the Nutrition Support Team at Sacred Heart Hospital covering the nutrient needs for the entire spectrum of life from newborns to the elderly.
As Jennipher’s family evolved her career had to evolve to accommodate being a wife and a mother. Jennipher began teaching group fitness classes in 2005 after becoming an AFFA Certified Group Fitness Instructor and a FiTour Certified Pilates Instructor. Her joy in leading all types of movement continued to grow as did her training, also becoming a NCSF Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, Certified Les Mills Body Pump Instructor, Zumba Fitness Instructor, a Real Ryder and Schwinn Certified Cycle Instructor, then engrossing herself into the wonderful world of Pilates.
Today Jennipher is a Nationally Certified Pilates Trainer and a Master Instructor for Balanced Body University with over 15 years of teaching various fitness modalities in both private and group settings. Recently becoming a Certified Integrated Movement Specialist through Balanced Body University, Jennipher continues to train clients in her home Pilates studio as well as providing Nutrition Consulting.
