Get to know Heather
Heather is the owner and head chef of Vibrant Chefs. She is passionate about helping people improve their lives through creative, delicious plant-based cuisine. She is a Pensacola native, a wife, and a mom of two teenage boys. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and became a national board-certified wound/ostomy nurse. For the last 11 years of her nursing career, she cared for patients suffering from chronic non-healing wounds. In 2019, she developed a personal interest in cooking and eating a plant-based diet. Her interest in plant-based food has evolved into her life’s purpose.
In 2022, she decided to pivot her career and graduated from Rouxbe’s Culinary Program to become a Certified Plant-based Professional. She believes that food is medicine and the role of a chef is vital in our healthcare system.
